View work at carolynballou.com - Carolyn Ballou is a Cleveland based artist and educator. She completed her BFA at the Cleveland Institute of Art and her MA at Case Western Reserve University. She teaches visual art through Photography, 3D modeling, Time Based Media and Digital Publishing. Each year her digital photography students receive recognitions with Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention awards from the Scholastics art and writing competition. Through her leadership as the School of Fine Arts Director at Lake Ridge Academy students have sought out higher education at the Oberlin Conservatory, SCAD, RISD, RIT, PRATT and other top ranking institutions.

She has exhibited in the greater Cleveland area galleries for several years and continues to engage the Fine Art community. She has been selected to present at educators conferences about integrated STEAM learning and teaching creativity in the classroom. Through her extensive teaching experience she has been asked to curate a student gallery at the Beck Center for the Arts and teach a Curating for Cleveland class through the Cleveland Print Room. Her work has been selected to show in the Woman Made Midwest Open this past March. She is married to David Ballou with three amazing young ladies.
